DIRECTOR, WRITER, PRODUCER

Myroc is the founder and owner of Myroc Productions LLC, created to explore the lives and motivations of the intersecting communities of her peers surrounding Patricia Field, the Paradise Garage, and the Harlem Ball scene of the 1980s. She is dedicated to discovering and telling these histories, preserving the legacy of those who paved the way, opening minds, and challenging thinking. Music and dance from her roots as a Paradise Garage devotee inform her vision. In addition to founding the House of Field and working for Patricia Field, she worked at iconic 80s clubs, including The Palladium and The World. As a successful competitor and multiple Grand Prize winner, she achieved legendary status in the Red Era of ballroom. She wrote, produced, and MC’d the first NYC downtown balls in history, first at the World and next on Grand Street in 1988. Her ethos evolved to connect with others through hard work and service into becoming a physician, wife, and mother of three kind and decent daughters. She sees the world through her own eyes, of one who moves freely and bravely through experiences, embracing the beauty and communal effects of dance and music in her work.
